CS Electrical is registered on the Electrical Safety Register. Being on the Electrical Safety Register means that we have to maintain our high technical standards and are assessed on a regular basis to ensure they continue. With CS Electrical being on the Electrical Safety Register this gives you the confidence in our abilities to deliver your project to all the relevant British Safety Standards.

What is the Electrical Safety Register?

The Electrical Safety Register is your one-stop shop for finding a local registered electrician. It has been established by the UK’s leading electrical safety charity, the Electrical Safety Council (ESC), and the industry’s leading trade association, the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA).

It is a not-for-profit searchable database of electricians registered with the government-approved schemes NICEIC and ELECSA. These organisations donate profits to the ESC, enabling the Charity to run public information campaigns to raise awareness of issues surrounding electrical safety and provide grants to vulnerable people and community organisations, and to the ECA for investment in professional development.

Why use the Register?

The Register contains details of 34,000 registered electricians. It covers electricians who carry out domestic work as well as electrical contractors who undertake industrial and commercial electrical work throughout the UK and Channel Islands.

Within England and Wales it provides a single access point for reaching 80% of domestic electrical contractors, who undertake 90% of domestic electrical work performed under building regulations.

Every one of our 34,000 registered electricians is subject to the highest technical standards, as well as stringent risk-based assessment to ensure their continued professional excellence.

Who certifies our contractors?

Electricians on our register are certified by NICEIC or ELECSA, the UK’s leading competent person schemes for the electrical contracting industry. Those schemes have themselves been accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) as operating with independence and integrity and focusing on the quality and safety of electrical installations.
