Our dedicated personnel are qualified to a minimum of City & Guilds 3667-02 units 1, 2, 3&4 and we use the latest fusion splicers from Fujikura which can splice single-mode and multi-mode fibres using core alignment or cladding alignment technology giving you a perfect splice with minimum loss.
We can deliver projects successfully on the full range of networks (LAN’s, MAN’s & WAN’s), single-mode and multi-mode fibres, internal and external fibres, fusion and mechanical splicing. We can also offer fibre auditing and fibre repair works.
With fibre optic cables it is vital that they are installed correctly as this will minimise any future faults within the system. You can be confident that our diligent installers have the skills and knowledge to install your fibres to minimise macro bending, attenuation losses in the system and take great care in preparation of the fibres when cleaving and splicing. We use all the appropriate equipment when pulling in the fibres including a fused swivel to ensure that the maximum pulling tension for the cable is not exceeded which may lead to permanent damage to the fibre. We will also ensure that the fibre cables will have adequate mechanical protection to minimise damage to the cables in the future.
We take great pride in the appearance of our installations as a neat and tidy cable system is much easier to maintain in the future. We recommend using factory terminated pig tails fibres where possible as these achieve the lowest losses but we can deliver, whatever your requirements.
CS Electrical take safety with fibre optics very seriously as we can be working with live lasers, in confined spaces, working at height, electricity and COSHH solutions so we will provide risk assessments and method statements for each project. We have a strict policy in disposing of the fibre sharpe’s in a sin bin prior to be sent away with a disposal contractor to be incinerated.
We can offer full testing services on fibre optic systems, using the latest Optical Time Domain Reflectometer testers from EXFO, Insertion Loss Measurement testers or Visual Light Sources to either commission your system, fault find or map out your network. Results are always recorded and presented in a timely fashion and uploaded to our Overview system giving you instant access.
